I wanted to give a shout out to the graduate students that I have advised who have graduated this year (spring and summer defences). They have produced thought-provoking theses and dissertations on a rich variety of topics. Their research has made me a better researcher in turn, particularly through multiple discussions and arguments. Ben, Cherilyn, Nghi, Yongqing, and Yunting, I have learnt a lot from you. Best wishes for the next step of your careers!
Yongqing Ye. (2025). Understanding Subsegmental Speech Perception with Bayesian Modeling.
Yunting Gu. (2025). Larger sonority diļ¬erence, larger lag: gestural coordination in speech production.
Ben Airola. (2025). Moras Are Unnecessary for Stress and Other Weight-Related Phenomena.
Nghi Lam. (2025). Southern Vietnamese Reduplication: An Optimality Theory Analysis.
Yichen (Cherilyn) Wang. (2025). The Articulatory co-ordination within syllables.
